Rhinos have thick skin, but it can be sensitive to sunburn!
BIG BUT GENTLE
Despite their size rhinos are gentle and peaceful herbivores.
GREAT SENSES
Rhinos have great hearing and smell, but poor eyesight.
HORN POWER
A rhino’s horn is made of keratin – the same stuff as your hair and nails!
WALLOW TIME
Rhinos love rolling in mud! It keeps them cool and protects their skin.
BABY RHINOS
A baby rhino is called a calf. Calves stay close to their moms for up to 3 years!
AMAZING ANIMALS
I have lots of friends in the animal kingdom!
Here are some super cool ones:
- Elephants are the largest land animal.
- Giraffes have the same number of neck bones as humans - 7!
- Zebras have unique stripes, like our fingerprints.
- Turtles have been around for over 200 million years!
- Bees help flowers grow and give us honey!

- We all need clean water to live.
